ABOUT US

Heart4Heart McGill is a student-run nonprofit organization with the aim of granting life-saving surgeries to children in different third-world countries born with congenital heart defects through the effort of fundraising and informative events.

We work collaboratively with other chapters from various Canadian provinces and in partnership with Gift of Life International to make surgeries possible.

Our organization is built upon case-by-case fundraising to ensure that individual attention and care are provided to one child in need at a time.

Our Mission

We strive to expand access to adequate healthcare resources and avenues through awareness campaigns on congenital heart disease and fundraising at McGill. We are focused on improving and prolonging the quality of lives of children in dire need of medical treatment. In the hopes of reaching developing countries with our support, we plan to help equalize the social disparity in healthcare facilitation.

Our Partner

All proceeds raised go to our partner organization Gift of Life International, which moves forward with the coordination of efforts in each child’s program.

Gift of Life International is a Rotary-based initiative with the purpose of affording reliable, life-saving surgeries and treatments to children with congenital heart defects. The organization wishes to develop sustainable pediatric cardiac care while empowering local medical professionals in their practice. The Core Program specifically focuses on gaining the support of hospitals, government, surgery programs and non-governmental organizations for the benefit of the children.
